Bot Helper

Abstract

Our labs have discovered a novel method for retrieving decks from the Random Access Archives (RAA). This new method integrates with Discord directly to increase efficiency and transparency in your random archive accesses.

Method

Discord server admins may add the Sloppy Labwork bot (SL bot) to their servers using the link below.

Click here to add Sloppy Labwork to your server.

Results

Once added to a server, the SL bot will make a new slash command available to your users:

/random-access-archives
    [dok <DoK username>]
    [set CotA|AoA|WC|MM|DT]
    [min <number>]
    [max <number>]

Our lab recommends using tab completion, rather than typing out the entire command. However, preliminary data suggests these methods may in fact yield identical results.

Figures and Tables

Here we see the RAA slash command used for a given DoK account.

RAA command with username

Sloppy Labwork users with a DoK account added in their profile may run the RAA command without explicitly providing one.

RAA command with no params

Here we see the RAA slash command used with all available options.

References

The idea behind RAA is credited to good friend and teammate not2night.

not2night also introduced our labs to the "Three Fates" format. In this format, both players acquire three random decks. These may be new sealed decks, decks pulled from the RAA via SL bot, etc. The players then compete in a best of three match comprising an archon, reversal, and adaptive short game using each of their decks exactly once. We recommend playing all three games regardless of outcome, for science.
